Rock and roll singer

Multi-faceted vocalist, songs with something to say

Aaron Lippert is a Boston-based rock vocalist and songwriter returning to the stage with new music and one of the most formidable lineups the New England scene has seen in years. As one of the founders and frontman of Expanding Man, Lippert helped define the melodic hard rock sound of the '90s, earning a major-label deal with Columbia/Sony and landing on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart with the single "Download (I Will)", which reached No. 22 and appeared on the soundtrack to the hit film The Cable Guy. The band earned two Boston Music Award nominations and shared stages with icons like Stone Temple Pilots.

A tireless collaborator throughout his career, Lippert has lent his voice to some of rock's most storied recordings, including background vocals on Bleu's "Somebody Else" from the blockbuster Spider-Man soundtrack, The Click Five's "Addicted to Me" from their album Modern Minds and Pastimes, and credits alongside Peter Wolf (A Cure for Loneliness, 2016) and prog-rock legend Eddie Jobson (Radiation, 2009 & Live, 2020).

Now Lippert is back. He returns to active performance backed by an all-star ensemble drawn from the best of Boston's rock community: Ed Valauskas (bass), the veteran producer and multi-instrumentalist whose credits span Juliana Hatfield, Eli "Paperboy" Reed, and Graham Parker; Bill Guerra (guitar), Lippert's longtime bandmate from the Expanding Man years and guitarist for Tracy Bonham and Bleu; Magen Tracy (keyboards/vocals), the three-time Boston Music Award–nominated songwriter and frontwoman of Magen Tracy & the Missed Connections; Mike Piehl (drums), another Expanding Man alumnus reuniting with Lippert on stage; Amy Fairchild (vocals/guitar), the acclaimed Boston songwriter and winner of the Lilith Fair Talent Competition, the John Lennon Songwriting Competition, and the Billboard World Song Competition; and Thomas Juliano (guitar), the Berklee-trained guitarist and touring musician for Talking To Animals, Todd Thibaud & Seven Mary Three.

With new music on the horizon, Aaron Lippert's return is more than a comeback, it's a reunion of some of the most talented musicians the Boston rock world has produced.
